supersop
I'll say one thing. DCI crowds could learn a thing or two from the Euro crowds. They're appreciative no matter the level of performance ......... major respect to the corps, bands and crowd for putting on a great show. supersop
I keep forgetting their Jr. class has an age limit of 16. These kids are really doing a good job considering most of them are middle school age or younger.
bawker
Looks like Kidsgrove squeaked by The Company . . .gotta give it to The Company, mighty impressive for their first year out. The website is very cool too.

The website is very cool too. I'm surprised they are so competitive against Kidsgrove just based on size. Maybe DCE has a better scoring system than us. The nice thing is ....... they post everything you would want to know about DCE, Judging, Sheets you name it ....... on their website. http://www.drumcorpseurope.org/Resources/pdf/manual.pdf

The website is very cool too. Julaiana 82.70 The Company 85.70 Kidsgrove Scouts 86.0 That's pretty darn close. I think Kidsgrove have the better show but The Company has a more refined approach. It didn't seem like Kidsgrove's brass were playing as well as they did at DCA. Lots of intonation problems and quiverish sounds from the midvoices at times. supersop
Every brass line I've seen has about 20 horns except for Kidsgrove. Not sure who is on right now, but this music book is a monster (and they're doing quite well with it).

84skyrydr
Wow, refreshing. Recognizable music, pits that you can hear, without amps. Whats next? Marching? What are the themes for the shows? I want to read the thesis to understand the interpretive value of each show. How can it be judged without a title?
