Is David Veda the guy that got a new car and Gail Royer gave him the keys at a banquet or something...Does anyone know what I am talking about. He was in a car accident....There was a vignette on a DCI broadcast many years ago...am I crazy?

Yeah...I'm crazy...

You are close. David Veda was the one who gave the keys to Robert French, (a 1989 Nissan Maxima).

who was paralized in a car accident the previous fall. The Nissan was fitted with hand controls so he could drive.

Gail Royer was in the first part of that video clip where he was telling people about Robert's accident

and was helping to raise money and support for him. I loved that video clip becase it showed how close nit

and caring people in this activity are!

Put another way, he was the drill component of the heaven-sent design team from 2005-2007. While the 80s and 90s had some great PR shows, I'd call 2005-2007 the best three-year stretch they've had in terms of show design. (and you can add that little show from 2008, though Thompson wasn't around for that one)

Jamey did write the Hurricanes drill in 2010.
