JohnD
Our data center suffered a site-wide network problem this afternoon - causing our entire system to be offline. This center-wide issue is being addressed by the team in the Chicago center. Our apologies for the service interruption. -john

JohnD
No - its now appearing that it was a building-wide power distribution problem that affected about 30% of the network resources (routers/switches/etc) in the datacenter. Our servers never went down - we just couldn't get to them. For those that are keeping 'score' - we average > 99.9% uptime (over the course of the year), which I'm pretty happy with. My corporate IT and telco background sets my objective at 99.9% - so we're tracking pretty good. The datacenter where we host our systems is located in the Chicago financial district and home to many, many high-profile corporate customers - so we're not serving DCP from an old PC in my garage. Even in the best environments, these things sometime happen ... and we do our best to ensure we're protected and able to recover quickly. Thanks for your patience. -john
