Bushwackers Announce Retirement of Director Jay Morlot May 2, 2011 – Ridgefield Park, New Jersey After 24 years of dedicated service, Jay Morlot has stepped down as director of the Bushwackers Drum

Jaybo - I was saddened to hear that Bush won't have you at the helm anymore. You pretty much single-handedly brought Bushwackers back from the brink in 1986 and helped create a legendary drum corps

Jay, I had the honor of being under the tuledge of your father at the Wanderers, and I'm sure you

were every bit the director he was. Enjoy your retirement, drum corps will miss you.

 My dad was a great guy for sure. The 1st call I always made when we won DCA was always to my Dad. He was a big fan of the Bushwackers.

I hope, for the corps' sake, Jaybo will come back a few times out of the season to remind the to "Pay Their ****** Dues!" LOL

In all honesty though I wish you the best of luck Jay and I hope you realize how many lives you have touched throughout the years.

Lastly, I wish the new guys the best of luck in the upcoming season!
