Got our tickets yesterday - Section 3, 45 yard line, a few rows down from the box...

I'll be wearing either my turquoise SCV marching horn line shirt or my 1999 Phantom - Tragedy and Triumph shirt if anyone wants to say 'Hi'

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

anxiously awaiting a 'face peel' :w00t:

Can someone post the host schools and practice locations? I assume Bluecoats will be at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium? I want to go down and film some corps' run-throughs...

From The Cadets website:

Housing:

Sandy Valley High School

5362 State Route 183 NE

Magnolia, OH 44643

Ensemble practice usually starts around 2:30 and goes until 4:00 when they eat, pack, load for the show.

This show has taken on a new meaning with the tight spread between 5th, 6th, and 7th place. It will be an incredible show, as long as the weather holds off. Can't wait. I will try to USTREAM the score announcements from my phone. Will attempt to report real-time as the corps perform, so long as my batteries hold out :)

The 2011 Drum Corps International Competition promises to be an exciting show featuring eight of the best drum corps in America, including six of the top twelve. The corps will be at their peak performance levels just days before the world championships. Competing against Canton’s own Bluecoats will be some of the nation’s top-ranked corps, including (in alphabetical order): Blue Knights from Denver, CO; Boston Crusaders from Boston,MA; The Cadets from Allentown, PA; Crossmen from San Antonio, TX; Phantom Regiment from Rockford, IL; Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, CA; and Troopers from Casper, WY.

Pre-sale tickets are currently available: $8 to $24. Stop by ticket outlets at Canton and Massillon AAA offices, Dumont's Seed Company on 30th Street NW, or Zampino's Drum Shop. . .

Ok, so who are the judges here we're to dump on, Liahona. Round up all the usual suspects for us and let us know when you know their names, ok ?

My only prediction...the two point spread which suddenly opened between SCV and BAC will vanish as quickly as it appeared. I have been saying since June that Boston will edge out Bluecoats and SCV, and it will happen this week.
