Zeke
A marching band skills camp at 9:41? Why don't they have that first? I don't get it... I too found this kinda of odd. Clinics being held at the end of a Show..what is up with that? I don't think the people in the stands after being there for hours particularly care for that imho. I'm sure it's the "performance" portion of the clinic (just like the BOA campers got to go on the field with Crown at the end of the Ball State show). skywhopper
Part of my soul just died. If the Z pull is a gimmick.... so is The box cutters Cavaliers use The DNA stuff Cavaliers/Cadets/Madison have done The double cross Star of Indiana stuff... This is just ridiculous. It's a joke, guys. Geez. Edited July 16, 2011 by skywhopper
Plan9
A marching band skills camp at 9:41? Why don't they have that first? I don't get it... It's called marketing.......many of the corps have these skill camps peppered throughout the tour where local band kids and corps hopefuls can play with the big dogs on the big dog's equipment. Real teaching going on, real interaction with the corps members and staff, and just a lot of fun. So.....why here in the program? So that the quality, fun and value of such an up close DC experience can be broadcast to a market that may not have seen it before. Look for other corps who have similar offernings to do the same in future DCI FN shows. It's a money maker for the corps, just good business, and a bit of an insurance policy that the ranks will continue to stay full in the future.
