The show is going well so far.....can someone explain to me why its necessary for BD to amp their lead players when the rest of the corps isn't even playing that loud?

WX report: Nice. A little hot but a breeze is blowing.

Scores should be interesting tonight with this panel of judges, especially with the panel led by the wicked witch of the east!

Yes! So much better! I thought they would actually go above the flooring and they would peek around but this looks pretty cool!

They do have backs, but didn't use them tonight for some reason. Hopefully they will be used tomorrow so we can get the full effect.

Sorry -- can't re-post tweets to the thread (making White Chili for DCI San Antonio party tomorrow) .

But it's really easy to watch the action on twitter.

Go to monitter.com.

enter #dcihouston for you fiirst search term

then add #dci , #drumcorps,

and whatever else you want to see live tweets in a really nice display.

No twitter account necessary.

can someone explain to me why DCI allows BD to broadcast live and when I try to bring a videocam in just to record my son its not allowed?! Thanks!

One or more of:

1) they are allowed to record themselves

2) live streaming is different license-wise than recording

3) they are using a camera in a cell phone instead of a camcorder

4) they can get away with it because no one checks the corps staff for such things

5) camcorders can bother audience members near you, but the corps staff is not in the audience (I assume)

6) forget it, Jake, it's Devils-town
