I guess nobody knows who is going to get that last spot! It's like they took the scores and pulled them out of a hat... just crazy! Looking forward to this week! This is what drum corps is all about!!!!:tongue:

Yes, a strange turn of events. Wish the recaps were up!

Congrats to Glassmen! C'mon Baby Blue--you can do it!!!

Yes, Some wonky scores. After seeing these corps in Allentown, I figured if any corps was going to close the gap on SOA it would be the Glassmen, but I didn't think they would pass them.

Waiting for the recap.

A very small venue can play havoc with scores too - in both good and bad ways.

' decided to keep it tame too. It crossed my mind to say that the judges pull the numbers out from someplace else that begins with the first letter of the alphabet, but said.. no, never mind, that'd be very naughty indeed.

That's OK. I read between the lines and I got the other version, too. Except I was substituting "orifice" for the other word.

Same can be said about Crossmen; they were third in Percussion.

Strong showing by Glassmen's percussion...

Glassmen percussion consistently outscore the rest of the corps year to year, although the guard has remained competitive. The corps unfortunately continues to underscore in brass, which placed 4th tonight.

If the Glassmen do progress to finals, odds on it will be killer percussion and guard scores; they earned Glassmen a remarkable 1.3 and 0.8 points over SoA tonight respectively, and are completely wrecking SoA in GE, Performance, and Ensemble; however, the hornline is forcing losing ties (!) in the GE captions to SoA, and are losing their Performance caption by 0.4.

If the Percussion and Guard continue to scythe their way into top 10 territiory (likely) and the G-Brass tighten up from tonight (I am enthusiastic about this year's new and old staff) they may just put a lock on yet another Saturday night, even after not making finals at a single regional performance this year. A remarkable and truly historic end-of-season pop like every smart Glassmen marcher prays for.
