kevingamin
Drums up front now for their feature. It's a quick one with a little dirt, but very aggressive.
kevingamin
Rifle had a drop which bounced away from her. She ended up being the only one on the field while recovering it during an equipment change. Stayed in character and mugged evily for the crowd. Good recovery!
kevingamin
My Immortal - A beautiful song which is hit or miss in drum corps so far. Mellos have the melody to start, kneeling in the center of the field in front of the front hash. Nice shaping on the phrases, mellos. kevingamin
Baris start the melody of the chorus, then hand it back to the mellos. Nice arranging so far. Neat. Trumpet soloist standing in front of the fabric cube. Two other trumpets sticking out from the cube, only horns and arms showing. Nice effect. kevingamin
Brass is having a good night and is the strongest of the sections, in my opinion. Now moving into the third section of the show.
kevingamin
Love the huge white flags with a yellow corner of the cube frame. Great stuff. Final part for the show, Pandora's getting pushed into the box, it looks like. Oh, is just being held by all the horn members inside the box, reaching out to ensnare her. kevingamin
Next on the field is the Jersey Surf from Berlin, New Jersey. Their 2011 program is entitled "Petal Tones" and consists of: The Flower Song from Carmen by Bizet, George Bad Romance by Lady Gaga Habanera from Carmen by Bizet, George Libertango by Piazzolla, Astor Kiss from a Rose by Seal Tango de Roxanne (from Moulin Rouge) by Jennings, Will; Sample, Joe Toreador Song from Carmen by Bizet, George
kevingamin
Nice bari soloist as Surf starts their pre-show. Color guard wins awards for weirdest uniforms, like a psychedelic Carmen Miranda.
