No, because they know there is no "I" in team. Anyone who does it intentionally over and over only cares for themselves and not the corps.

uh huh. i know horn players thatmake fun of them

I would be one of them .... It annoys the hell out of me when a lead trumpet / soprano blows a release ... it shows me either 1) they are not paying attention or 2) their ego gets in the way.

I disagree with you. If your instructor says it, you don't get the choice. To do otherwise is chosing not to play with the team.

I disagree with you. If your instructor says it, you don't get the choice. To do otherwise is chosing not to play with the team.

There are things called written embellishment. All corps right them in. I think your talking about a lead player that takes it upon himself to write these in himself. Not cool. I don't play that way and I expect the leads under me to follow suit.
