2011 DCI Finals Thread!

Recommended Posts

Lone baritone on the Synchronicity opening, joined by the mellos with the background line, then a trumpet soloist. First big hit, nice rotation from diamond to square formation.

Nice job by the trumpet/baritone duet on the main melody of Synchronicity. Pit's got a great groove going.

Whoa! Trumpet just squealed out a stratospheric note!

Nice to hear some Police on the field.

Guard is split between rifles and flags. I like the hooded outfits they wear. Colorful, yet simple and effective.

I'm looking forward to video of their championship performance.

Really nice job by the mellos and baris at the start of the next piece. Great balance, blend, and technique.

This is a very accessible show. When you see the set list, you don't expect it to be as challenging as they've made it, plus the members rise up to the challenge, which gives this show a total package feel.

Pit only now as the horns move backfield except for a trio surrounded by sabers. Great pit work in accompaniment.

Horns are booking with the drill.

Great jazzy feel to this piece, I think it's Sting's Murder By Numbers.

Percussion featured again, really moving while playing, too. May be the strongest section of the corps.

Yay, Kevin's in the house! Just cleaned out the hard drive case (mucho cat fur and dust was liberated) for a smooth finals night drum corps experience, LOL!
