Popular Post Jeff Ream Posted August 14, 2011 Popular Post Posted August 14, 2011 a year ago you were threatening to pull apart. The vocal critics yelled louder than ever, and more people became vocal critics than ever before. Cesario was put in his role and many people said I told you so. There's still issues, and there will be vocal critics. But THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the most exciting season DCI has had in many, many years. You've brought some fans back, and if you continue on this path more will come...all domes aside. Thank you DCI...all 41 corps, administration, staff, kids....thank you all. 20 Quote
OrlandoContraAlum Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Agreed. I only got to see the QF broadcast this year, but was blown away. Incredible year! Ironically, given the tragedy at the fairgrounds, is it fair to assume should the dome not been in place, this incredible year may have been cut short due to weather, for the first time in DCI History? 4 Quote

On to the dome part. Would you have rather been at the Indiana State fair where 4 people were killed? Would you have liked to been in a different stadium and had the rain cancell the show due to standing water or slick field that would hurt the kids? Domes I say all the way!!!!!! 3 Quote

Maybe we need outdoor venues where storms as big of an issue this time of year. face it.,...the dome is turning fans away. but thats why i said all domes aside. 3 Quote
CoHmempho04 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I don't care where the kids perform, as long as they perform like they did this year. No venue will ever turn me off of DCI. 2 Quote

That's serious stuff! Quote
dbg Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I'd rather be in CA! Agree Well at least maybe just once every 5 years...I could handle that Quote
SteelPanz Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I personally don't mind the domes. I appreciated the air conditioning while watching in San Antonio 4 weeks ago. And I know it was nice to avoid the rain tonight. All in all, the only complaint is just the odd seating angles. But it appeared the crowd was as big as it was when the show first arrived in Indy in '09. 1 Quote
