Charlie Groh's wearing his Freelancers shirt in support.

Drum major was just handed a baritone. Two valves, no less. He's still conducting, but I'm guessing he'll be playing a solo at some point.

Soprano soloist just joined to make it a duet. Excellent sound from both of them.

Trap set player, by the way, is doing an incredible job and is almost a show of his own.

Technically, they just played BEFORE getting announced. Steve Andermann just pointed out that he's never seen a corps so eager to play. :D

16 horns, 12 percussion, 5 guard, 4 honor guard, and 1 DM for the Optimists, who are now pushing to the front of the field to complete their opening production.

Snares playing cymbals as the corps moves back a bit into their concert formation. All the horns are now on Side 1, guard on Side 2.
