Plan9
Based on a rough analysis, it appears the two longest streaks of siver or gold since 1990 are Cavies (2000-2006) with seven in a row & BD (2007-2011) with five. What does this mean? Other than CI......nothing! Are there other G&S streaks.......what's the longest?
Michael Boo
It's not a gold or silver streak, but I'd add the fact that Don Warren was president of The Cavaliers for 60 years.
Michael Boo
From 1972 through 1989, a California corps was in either the gold or silver place position at DCI World Finals. From 1972 through 1990, the World Champion corps won at least one caption outright. (In 1991, Star of Indiana won while tying for the top score in three different captions.) To this day, the 1977 Oakland Crusaders remain the only corps to not make Finals after winning a caption in Prelims (Semifinals). (They won percussion under Tom Float's tutelage...The streak is that we've gone 34 years without that happening again.) Santa Clara Vanguard remains the only corps to be in every DCI Worlds Finals. Blue Devils had a streak of winning at least one caption at Finals every year between 1976 and 1986. Since 1984, all Finalist corps have broken 80.0. OrlandoContraAlum
Santa Clara also had such a streak, from 1985 to 1989 (4 Silver & 1 Gold)

sniper282000
BD was .2 away from extending their unprecedented streak of scoring 98 or higher to 5 years in a row. no other corps has accomplished this 3 years in a row. Cavies cracked 98 back to back in 01-02. Cadets did it in 84-85. BD also went back to back 98's in 03-04.

BRASSO
Here's another : Since 1975, no Corps other than The Cadevaliers ( Cadets,'Devils, Cavaliers ) has ever won back to back DCI Titles.

So, why are you excluding the first back to back, 73 & 74 SCV?!
