s.sanchezUMiami Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Good Morning Everyone, If you are a brass/percussionist ages 15-21 and have completed at least one summer of drum corps PLEASE check this out: I am trying to learn more about the types of people that march drum corps and how they feel about their experience. I know it is annoying and feels like a waste of time, but research surveys are very useful tools. Everyone is aware of the constant struggle the arts are experiencing through constant budget cuts, and music research helps support what we all do and love. Please take 10 minutes and complete this survey (it won't count if it isn't), you can even do it on your phone (no joke!). What Stu said......I would take a survey and ask how many DCP'ers are still marching vs pure drum corps ageouts vs band only w/ no corps experience vs Fan with no experience. Here's my wild ### guess... Still marching - 9% of DCP'ers Pure drum corps ageouts - 78% Band only w/ no corps experience - 8% Fan with no experience - 5% Any takers? FWIW - I'm a DCI ageout. Quote
