Michael Boo
It was just brought to my attention that we lost one of our greatest talents 20 years ago today.
euphplayer07
For not even having met the genius that is George Zingali, he certainly has had a profound effect on my life. I'm sure he will continue to do the same for many individuals for years to come.
BigW
I met him in 1984 at the WCU Director's clinic, where he was a wonderful individual in explaining his concepts and ethos. His work ethic and exuberance for the activity will always ne remembered by anyone who knew or met him.

euphplayer07
So I find it very ironic that John Philip Sousa and George Zingali died on the same day exactly 60 years apart. The man who started marching band and the man who changed it forever. Wow!
RetiredJedi
George inspired many to be their best. A true motivator. A visual genius. A good man. I miss him. RIP George
84Cadet
I often wonder what drill would look like today if he were still alive. RIP George. We all miss you. So, so much.

matye
nice little SOI tribute on Youtube/Facebook Thank you for the tribute. I'll never forget the first time I met George Z at Star's first camp in Bloomington in 1984. We deeply appreciate the experience he gave our sons through Star. God bless him. RIP dear friend.
