I wonder if DCA would just give the Renegades the title, just based off of awesome score, if they ever scored a 77.777 at finals... :tounge2:

Well, they scored a 70.25 tonight in Pleasant Hill.

SoCal Dream - 58.9

Is it usual for some corps to start competing in August?

What you don't see (in our case), The Kilties already have performed in 5 full field shows since June 23rd. Plus 2 concerts and 6 parades. We may do a DCI show early in the season (as well) if it fits within our schedule; and that varies from season to season. We are involved with a local summer band circuit and show our support for them by appearing in their organization's events.........to packed houses I may add. This is our "off weekend" coming up.

In short, we've have been very, very busy packed with performances and rehearsals since Memorial Day, not including our Spring Preview concert in March and performing as guests to the Madison Scouts alumni ALS event in April.

Be that as it may, nothing beats an actual score, opportunity to get judges' feedback, as well as the opportunity to evaluate your competition IMO.

IMHO...I would hate to pay to be a member of a corps and only have 2 shows...

i never did pay and i never would. we did fundraisers , parades and big time bingo games. i hated parades but i did them.
