Kamarag 5,299
Explain First off, I love the Commandant's Own. Always have. They have one of the best sounding brass lines in the word, at any level. They have a tradition like none other, and the entertain audiences around the country every year. You are never disappointed by one of their performances. That said, they would get absolutely murdered if they competed in DCA doing the kind of shows they do. There is absolutely no reason for that to happen. Leave them in exhibition.
And in first place~ 31
Safe to assume no USMC Silent Drill Team?

It has to do with the judges sheets and how credit is given. No doubt Everyone will know who owned the field that night. No one can play or march precision to the level that Commandant's Own can. They play miles ahead of anyone out there. But on the sheets they would be lost.
Fran Haring 7,760
The Marine Drum and Bugle Corps is a professional musical organization whose product is geared for exhibition performances at a variety of venues in a variety of locations worldwide. They are not a competition corps. Period. Having them as part of the DCA championship show is great news, for anyone who is going to be there!
