I honestly believe people need to stop making excuses for why Crown is not beating BD. They are not as clean as BD and they will not get there as long as the visual staff keeps changing and changing and changing what the members are doing on the field. Crown needs to focus on cleaning at this point, not CHANGING. If not, they will change themselves right out of contention. By the way, the Crown members are doing an EXCELLENT JOB performing the most difficult show in DCI right now. BD is clean, no doubt! But there show is not nearly as involved as Crown's. But, just because it is difficult and involved will mean little to nothing if it isn't clean by final's week.

I have an excuse for Crown last night ... they didn't show up. They were flat .. no energy .. uninspired. Yet they still managed 2nd. I haven't seen them do a show head to head with BD where they were firing on all cylinders.

I have another excuse ... they can't afford a tuning key for their snares.... so they just fill the shell with rocks and wet clay.

And a 3rd ... the guard is so super powerful they're practically invisible!!!!!! :w00t:

And now .. my top 10 excuses BD will use when Crown finally catches them:

10. I fell off my hobby horse

9. The semi ran over our hoops

8. Who was that streaking in the middle of the show?

7. Our DCP fans were cockier than us.

6. Hop had the hashes redone in the wrong spots.

5. Someone made the DADA voiceover sound like the chipmunks.

4. SCV took our entire staff mid season.

3. We were so good the judges forgot to mark our sheets.

2. Czapinski gave Cavies a 9.9 in GE Visual

1. Crown put sugar in our diesel tanks!!!!

All in good fun. Anyone else have a top 10 they would like to share?

First on the field is Forte, from Dallas, Texas. Their 2012 program is entitled "Crossroads" and consists of:

Dead and Gone by TI

Symphony No.4 - Heroes by Glass, Philip on David Bowie and Brian Eno

Is it me, or is Forte bigger than last year, at least from a horn line standpoint?
