Kamarag
I think Devils and Crown have been several levels above the field all year, but Phantom made a step up tonight. Loved everyone a lot tonight.

Kyle B
What, you didn't see the fast tempo crab across the front sideline by the tuba line while playing a walk? Oh, you mean there was ONE section where people were moving and playing. Congrats to them... First they sit, then the stand around and build a house, then they just plain old stand around.
hughesmr
Devs definitely grow on you over the course of the season, IMO. I think this show is the 'Star 93' of this decade.
radiosteele
If BD wins this year, I totally get it. That was the most complex musical & ensemble package I have ever heard or seen on a football field...and somehow those #### kids sold it. Kudos to them for trying something unheard of in the activity. Crown still wins brass, though. I'm not conceding that one.
csugrad
... And the 2012 DCI winning corps with a score of XX.XX is.... The Blue Dada's.
sobe
Their advantage is their life-long staff/design team, business acumen and amazing performers . Don't forget the sheets.
TubaJon
That was the first time I have felt like BD deserves the win in years! Not a fan, but that was incredible!
Njfritz
Devs definitely grow on you over the course of the season, IMO. I think this show is the 'Star 93' of this decade. I actually would give that to BD 2010, not this year.
supersop
Devils are destroying the field in variety of effect, especially on the music sheets. They have more variety in the music score than anyone in the top 12. Yeah I guess ... but does packing 100 different varieties into a show mean you're creating the most effective music? This show is by far a step back in the right direction for Devils ... but it still feels like an exercise rather than a musical journey. My only criticism of the music book this year. The melody used is very good .... the segments are longer than in years past ... they are trying to achieve an ebb and flow in the show .. but total flow is still a bit disjunct. That said .. it matches the the disjunctiveness of the visual .. which matches the theme. It all works ... but it isn't my fav. Give me Surf, Crown, Crossmen ... they take their time to explore the entire musical thought rather then massaging the motif's for short term/accelerated effect.
