84BDsop
Oh yeah... Putting Bluecoats in the top 3. Disaster. Well....maybe for Crown, Cadets, Regiment, SCV, Blue Stars, Boston, Madison, BK, or G-men (who all placed under 'Coats)
pbeau
Well rumors are confirmed. They are definitely pulling in some great people in the activity. Should make for an interesting year to say the least. http://www.bluestars.org/story.php?story_id=665 Saucedo as Brass Composer and Arranger. This can mean nothing but great news !! Prepare for some luscious sounds from the Blue Stars horn line !!
TubaJon
Saucedo as Brass Composer and Arranger. This can mean nothing but great news !! Prepare for some luscious sounds from the Blue Stars horn line !! Hopefully they bring in some great instructional staff to make that happen. Found out from a student who marched there that they changed up the technique for the worse. Specifically speaking stagger breathing. They taught not to fade out and fade in. I know there are zillions of techniques out there, but I thought that there was only one way to stagger. Im all for adding your own flare to things, but not at the expense of quality.
elmhurstmusiced
How so? Because Wiles has designed, assisted with design, and been in the planning stages in program coordination with groups the high school, drum corps, and WGI level. Your comment about Daniel never writing drill for anyone clearly means that you do not know who/what you are talking about. That is "How so?"
HornsUp
I thought that there was only one way to stagger. Not so. Open this topic in the brass forum, and we'll discuss.

Nine White Russians
Troopers hire Andrew Ebert as drill designer. Wow. Yet another staff member leaving Madison for other Corps! So far that's Van Doren, Vanderkolff, Smith and now Ebert. I wonder who will be next to go and how that will effect them. Great for Troopers though!!! I wonder who will be next to go and how that will effect them. Great for Troopers though!!! That definitely doesn't mean Andy's leaving Madison. As the position is Drill Designer, he could just be doing their drill. I know this happens in the activity because, for example, last year Lee Beddis wrote for Crossmen while working at Madison. So, I wouldn't say he's gone. Also, Donnie is probably the same way. He has a history of working with multiple corps at one time. If I remember correctly, he was working with, at least, Crown, Madison and Blue Stars all during the same season.
