2012 DCA World Championships Finals

The Marines open with American Salute. After the opening statement, which was Hella Clean, a lone baritone up front plays the melody as the rest of the horns play backfield.

Very nice tonguing technique from the sopranos, both on the move and standing still!

Sops nailed a very exposed Johnny comes marching home double tongue lick!

Excellent rotating forms by the corps as well. Now they're compressing a block formation into very tight intervals, keeping relative spacing perfectly.

So, are the Marines dot to dot or dress to form?

Serious question. I'm curious as to their technique.

Just executed two perfect drill moves. Amazing talent in this group.

I'm actually glad the Marines came to DCA instead of DCI. They should perform in an open air venue like this.

Looks like mostly dot to dot, but they do have to perform these drills with and without lines in various venues so I have heard they practice both ways.

Nice 180 snap turn by the horns!

Drum solo. I believe it's Rocky Top. Snare line sounds so sharp they could cut me just by playing.

The Hellcats were perfect for the Indoor Venue.
