Facing Backfield

What are the best moments musically in drum corps history when a corps is facing backfield? Marching or Stationary.

I've always been a big fan of the backfield intro in BD 2000.

I liked Troopers homage to the Cadets in their 2009 show with the Tonight ensemble while facing backfield.

SCV 2009, the intro, 5th movement opening, and then the outro was all backfield, was pretty awesome.

•I remember the 1986 and 1987 openings to Cavaliers' "Variations on a Korean Folk Song" to be beautifully haunting.

•Cadets' backfield exit in the 1987 "Appalachian Spring" show.

•The stabbing chords backfield near the end of Spirit of Atlanta's 1988 "Petroushka" show.

•Blue Devils' 1991 "Bird and Bela in B-flat" ballad.

•Crossmen's 1992 closer, "Journey Under the Sun."

•Phantom Regiment's 1994 "Clare de Lune." (Actually more to the side, but similar effect.)

•Cavaliers' 1995 "Venus" from "The Planets."

•Carolina Crown's start to "Enigma Variations" in the 1996 chess show.

•SCV's start to the 1997 closing movement of "The Age of Anxiety."

•Blue Knights' 1997 “Prayers of Kierkegaard.”

•The start to SCV's 1999 "The Canyon."

•The end to SCV's 2000 "Stained Glass."

•SCV's 2001 "Variants on a Medieval Tune."

•A section in Boston Crusaders' 2004 "O Magnum Mysterium."

•My absolute favorite: Carolina Crown in a series of arcs playing into the upper left corner in their 2006 Danielpour show.

•Blue Stars 2008 during "Organ Symphony."

•Phantom Regiment's 2010 ending of "Into the Light."

Regiment 2010 was beyond backfield!

Quite literally!
