CorpsData.net

Recommended Posts

So on a whim I checked out CorpsData.net Apparently I set up a profile years ago, so I had to get a new password to log in, then I updated some things. The site claims you can manage many aspects of your coprs (dues payments, alumni, staff....all kinds of things). The site also has many member corps, all paying a monthly fee. Individual membership is free.

So my question is who is using the site to it's full advantage? Is CorpsData a one stop shop for data needs? I feel like I'm pretty plugged into what is happening in the drum corps world but I just don't hear much about CorpsData. Heck, my alma matter is listed on their site but I constantly get requests for my current address, section and years marched via facebook and face to face meetings.....and it is all on CorpsData already.

It is such a great idea I must be missing something here. Thoughts?

Corps data works well for the members. It makes it easy to get parts, scores, and drill. I have heard that it is a bit clunky for the management side, though.

It's probably preferable to have a corps website that distributes parts, scores, and drill to the members rather than corpsdata, but corpsdata is easier to set up.

...why would that imply Facebook?
