Long Awaited Trivia

Recommended Posts

Name the corps that shot off fireworks from its flag poles in the 60s.

The Fire- etts, Norwich, CT.

Or The Scarborough Firefighters, Scarborough, Ontario.

Then again , could it be the Flying Dutchmen, from Quincy, Illinois ?

No corps from Fire Island?

None of the above. It was a Midwestern corps.

Mariners

Brian, you're no fun. You should let people guess. Annie Mixdorf put an end to it in her shows. I think they were actually cited for fire danger during a drought or something. They did a lot of "cheap tricks" as we called it at the time. But they were always fun to watch and audiences loved them. Great uniforms.

Here's another one:

What unique thing happened at the August 13, 1972 contest in West Milton, OH?

The show was rained out ?

No. A hint:

What I'm looking for involves the Anaheim Kingsmen, who won the show.

They won despite a 2 minute penalty for shooting off fireworks from their flag poles in the show.

If its not that, I need WAY more better hints to have any shot at all.
