MikeD
The corps you describe is the Babylon Islanders, a junior corps from Long Island. They competed in the Greater NY and Northeastern Circuits. Johnny Oddo marched with them. http://www.corpsreps.com/corpsreps.cfm?view=pictures&corpsid=865&corpstype=Junior The Mid-Islanders were a senior corps from Floral Park, Long Island in the 60's. Oh...did not know there were two with the same name. Thanks!

JimF-LowBari
" Invaders ", of Stratford, NJ Also an Invaders of Philly IIRC. Might be the corps that was actaully a parade corps but put a corps on the field for one of the PA American Legion States in the 50s or so. Only remember because I read a story that their field show was marching back and forth across the football field. Corps on the inspection line had to turn around because it was so bad it was killing their concentration. * or mebbe just a drum corps legend "
pearlsnaredrummer77
There used to be an all-girl fife and drum corps down the road from Butler that would do a lot of the drum corps parades, the The Meridian Woodpeckers. Memphis Brass Band Ohio Brass Factory (DCA & ICA) Les Chaitelaines de Laval Black Watch NJ Vengeance NY CMCC Warriors Avant Garde General Butler Vagabonds Yamato wausau Story
