Guardsmen-- the only time I wished I didn't live in CA and lived in Schaumburg; I would have loved to march with them. We had a '79-'80 Guardsmen vet in our line in SCV '84 (Kristen on French Horn) who was very humble but a horn goddess to many of us who really knew drum corps. Our DM in '84 (Andy McCarthy) was a rook-out from Guardsmen as well; he had the 2nd loudest DM voice I've ever heard next to the ex-late 70's SCV DM / bari extraordinaire Rick South. We had a couple of Nawth Stah guys in the drumline too, and two 2-7 vets.

Well for obvious reasons how bout the Ballantine Brewers. Imagine a drum corps -and we know of course people marching in corps don't drink beer- being sponsored by a brewery.

Seriously folks THE HAWTHORNE MUCHACHOS!!!
