Galen
Since all the scores for this week's shows before Friday are generated, there's no guarantee that they'll be an accurate predictor once corps start performing and getting judged. TubaJon
BREATHE dah! Is very happy about our sweep today. 1st in every caption. The scores still leave us baffled. Why is scoring automated this week? Edited June 19, 2013 by TubaJon
Galen
Scores are automated because there's no real scoring data to base anything off of. I didn't want to have to shorten the season by a week because DCI's season is shorter, so the first few nights' worth of scoring may be a bit off as a result. Galen
Today's events: After an extended weekend off with no events on Sunday and Monday, eastern corps march back into action at Liberty HS in Jackson NJ. This venue is becoming one of the more popular venues for corps to visit. Only a few corps have made the journey to Mankato MN, but Blakeslee Field should still be in for a rocking time as Crimson Lions take on the upstart rookie corps in Magic Sun. Out west, one of our smallest venues hosts one of the largest slate of corps we've seen so far this season at Wheelock Stadium in Riverside CA. The Stud Bolts will have their hands full with a bunch of young corps looking to make a name for themselves, including the Redcoats, who make their season debut tonight. Galen
Look for tonight's scores first thing in the morning. I have an interview in Chicago tomorrow and can't stay up any later to wait for recaps.
Galen
Scores from last night's events are now up. Today features a trio of competitive events. The judging panels have also been advised to "lighten up" a bit when judging early-season events, so look for some more stable scores tonight. Out west, the large lineup of corps has necessitated a venue change for the Huntington Beach CA show, which will be taking place at Lebard Stadium in Costa Mesa. Corps will no doubt appreciate being able to warm up a stone's throw away from the beach :smile:/> In Kalamazoo MI, Kalamazoo College's newly-renovated Angell Field will see Ohio Valley Thunder make their season debut. In Spartanburg SC, it's only appropriate that the largest slate of corps gets the largest venue of the day. Dorman HS's massive stadium will be the battleground for nearly 2 dozen corps, including several former DCPI champions.

Galen
Tonight should be very interesting as we start getting real score data from several corps. Out east, The Knights will have their hands full with Quilt as both corps face off at Mountain Ridge HS in Frostburg MD. In LaCrosse WI, 2-time champion Quiksilver will have a pair of hungry contenders in Cincinnati Light Brigade and Crimson Lions nipping at their heels.
