I think a pair of lederhosen and black tall Doc Martens would be a striking combination for checking out rehearsals. The downside is, someone will take note and a WGI guard will copy your idea next season in a show theme entitled "Yodel WHOMP!"

It's presently 9:45 AM here in CA and I'm drinking decaf. Honest.

And what sort of adult beverages are mixed into that decaf?

Uff dah ... works in many situations up here ... from "how's the weather"? to "watch out for that bear". And ... by the way ... the state bird of Minnesota is the mosquito, then, doncha know?

Found that out the hard way when DCI started and met the swamps outside Whitewater/Ft. Atkinson. (yes, I know they are in Wisconsin.) For the following years on tour as a staffer, one of the sub-responsibilities I had was being the one to make sure there were enough available CASES of Deep Woods Off for the membership. This included the many times we practiced at the old parade grounds stadium across the street from the Basilica in Minnie-apolis where they are going to build the new stadium.

The one benefit of the errand was the chance to get some nice Northwoods cooking at the restaurant down the block from where I used to get the CASES.

We're in Menomonie, Wisconsin ... just 60 miles due east of St. Paul. Beautiful country up here. We're a couple of transplanted Hoosiers. Never saw mosquitoes this big in Indiana.

Great food in these parts ... cheese curds anyone? Yah. You betcha. Lutefisk? No ...thank you.

No kidding. Takes a brave soul to eat it (and no one ever accused me of being brave).

Marilyn, Daaaaah-ling! How the health are'ya?

Couldn't agree with you more..As a native - best plan for anything..BRING LOTS OF DEET!!! That's HD 'Minnesota State bird ' repellent to you NON-tundra types..

Everyone should cover your bases - looks like it is typical Aquatennial weather, you never know what's coming until it gets here..Be thankful you don't have to go "up nort dere" - The "squeets" and the horse/deer flies get bigger and hungrier the farther north you get, doncha know? Ya, sure you betcha!

We HAVE had a buncha rain - now with da-dewpoints getting sticky, it could get pretty ugly - especially after the sun starts to drop..all the lights at "The Bank" could make for an interesting evening..

Hey you ... good to hear from you.

Can't make it to the Bank this year but some of the family will be there to cheer on Crown (Keith is marching bari). Hope to get to DeKalb but depends on how my schedule works out next weekend.

Thanks, by the way, to to good soul who posted the locations of the camps in these parts.

Hopefully the weather will be perfect (up here that means no snow). Remember the storms a couple of years ago?

Some of the places in Dinkytown you must hit up! Anne's Parlor, Al's Restaurant, etc...
