Kansan Posted July 15, 2013 Share Posted July 15, 2013 Prairie Sound will be playing "Star Spangled Banner" and "Grand Old Flag" for the local Brass Impact DCI show. We will have 3 Soprano Players, 2 Mellophone Players, 3 Baritone Players and a Snare Drummer for the event. If our spouces take pictures we will post them on our site. Kansan Posted July 16, 2013 Author Share Posted July 16, 2013 Mission accomplished. We played the opening ceremonies for Brass Impact with 3 Sops, 2 Mellos, 3 Baris and 1 Snare Drummer. We had a Husband/Wife team talk to us the night before at our practice at the Stadium and the Husband will be playing Soprano for us next month. We had 4 people fill out information forms for recruiting. We had at least 8 pick up business cards. There were some Drum Corps Veterans from Sky Ryders and Frontiersmen who stopped by to thank us for having a Corps in Kansas and encourage us to keep going. We had positive comments for playing G Bugles as well. We played a little better than last year and with added players should improve in 2014. Overall it was a good night.
