kevingamin
Percussion back in. Snares and tenors have a wicked decrescendo on their feature, followed by a sick bass run.
kevingamin
During the trumpet/baritone duet in teh middle section of the show, the pit is playing some killer runs but doing so very quietly, so it's easy to miss.

kevingamin
Interesting use of an electric guitar sampling from the pit to mirror the melody played by the low brass.
kevingamin
Horn line now forms two blocks facing each other, marching together and meshing the drill when they meet in the middle. I was hoping for a more Charles Ives' moment in the music, too. Back to the America theme, and then back to the parade formation before forming a waving flag formation on the field. kevingamin
Next on the field is Phantom Regiment from Rockford, Illinois. Their 2013 program is entitled "Triumphant Journey" and consists of: Elizabeth: The Golden Age Cape Fear Four Sea Interludes Enigma Variations Symphony No. 11
kevingamin
And now for the best opening drill move evah. Love the storybook opening!
kevingamin
Lovely trumpet solo as the corps plays backfield. The guard soloist dances around the trumpet soloist.
kevingamin
Opening statement from the horns got a crowd response. The princess is now in her castle.
kevingamin
The evil queen has arrived. She does look suspiciously like the evil queen from Snow White. Hope Disney doesn't see this show.
