TDR's-Challengers in need of repair

We have 2 12x15 TDR's and 1 Ludwig 12x15 Challenger in need of repair.Does anyone know how to re-gut them? The original gut snares are stretched over time or are missing.

Iwas told that weed whacker or nylon tennis gut is the best solution.

Any help appreciated.

PS I have NO experience with this process at all.

Tennis strings are the best, but make sure you get the simple round ones, many newer racquet strings have flat sides...........then get to the hardware store and get grommots that match the one on the currnt guts,........after that you need a pair of scissors, plyers, a small flat head screwdriver, and a cigarette lighter,..........pretty easy from there,..........

The nice thing about tennis racquet strings is that they are not affected by humidity like the old guts are,..........

Great idea Gary! You can teach us old dogs a new trick or two!
