JohnD
Pacific Crest has announced that DCI Hall of Fame member Todd Ryan will be joining their staff as a Visual Consultant for the 2014 season. Read more here In my opinion - another GENIUS move by the folks at Pacific Crest, as Todd is one of the very best in the business.
garfield
"What do you want to do? Well, find someone who does that well, and do that." I would have thought the BD honks would have jumped on this news. BD's visual refinement with a PC culture and style. Sounds like a winner for PC and their already excellent visual staff. offbeat
Could someone define the various staff titles and explain the hierarchy. I love Drum Corps and worked with corps back in the day when your staff didn't consist of 30 people.
CloudHype
Consultant...A senior "experienced" member of staff that gives insight, direction. A fresh set of well trained eyes are nice to have. Edited October 21, 2013 by CloudHype

Todd is such an important part of BD's rehearsal regiment (particularly on the road). He has an amazing visual perspective and my guess is that he will be able to "see" things in both PC's design and execution that take them to another level during their prep months and camps (if they don't conflict with BD). I don't imagine he'll have much to do with PC after they hit the road. But with virtual everything these days...one can never tell. This is great for this young emerging corps....soon to be yet another California power house! Edited October 21, 2013 by Plan9
