I have started working towards my MAT and decided to join the Hawthorne Caballeros to not only march for the obvious reasons, but to give me a support network and force me to take regular much-needed breaks from my studies. Unfortunately, the very thing that drove me to do this is also hindering me. Grad school is expensive. Much more expensive than drum corps. And almost all of my money is going towards my tuition and books. Even though my dues are only $750, it's hard to come up with the money.
