Madisonscoutsfan
12th place has probably had the most interesting history out of all placements. It means something else every year and is completely different than it was back in the 80s. What do you think was the best 12th place show In dci history? N.E. Brigand
I'll beat hostrauser to the punch: Colts 1999.
Madisonscoutsfan
I wish the colts were in finals more often.

MikeN
A lot of times, what makes the 12th place performance so much fun is that it's a corps that did the dirty work just to make it in to the show, and can loosen up and let go. Your choices for 12th place, BTW - 1972 - Blue Raiders 1973 - Commodores 1974 - Blue Stars 1975 - Troopers 1976 - Guardsmen 1977 - Garfield Cadets 1978 - Kilties 1979 - Troopers 1980 - Guardsmen 1981 - Troopers 1982 - Spirit of Atlanta 1983 - Sky Ryders 1984 - Velvet Knights 1985 - Freelancers 1986 - Velvet Knights 1987 - Sky Ryders – West Side Story 1988 - Sky Ryders – The Sound of Music 1989 - Crossmen 1990 - Dutch Boy 1991 - Sky Ryders - Camelot 1992 - Freelancers – The Music of Sir William Walton 1993 - Colts – The Four Seasons 1994 - Colts – Relations and Romance 1995 - Magic of Orlando – Danse Animale 1996 - Blue Knights – Music of Ron Nelson 1997 - Carolina Crown – Postcards from Britain 1998 - Colts – An A Cappella Celebration 1999 - Colts – Voices 2000 - Bluecoats - Threshold 2001 - Colts - Chivalry 2002 - Seattle Cascades - City Riffs 2003 - Sprit from JSU - Time 2004 - Glassmen - The Voice of One 2005 - Sprit from JSU - The Spirit of Broadway 2006 - Sprit from JSU - Old, New, Borrowed and Blue 2007 - Sprit from JSU - Genesis 2008 - Madison Scouts - El Noche de la Iguana 2009 - Troopers - Western Side Story 2010 - Glassmen – The Prayer Cycle 2011 - Spirit of Atlanta – ATL Confidential 2012 - Crossmen – Fragile 2013 - Blue Stars – Voodoo
ibexpercussion
I'll be a homer and go with Crossmen 2012. It was a fun show, but more importantly, it got them back into finals (if only for a year), and charged up the alumni base a great deal!!! But I also liked Colts 1994 show a lot.
Jeff Ream
99 Colts, 87 Sky Ryders, 09 Troopers
HornTeacher
99 Colts, 87 Sky Ryders, 09 Troopers Thanks, Jeff. I wanted to include this one, but was afraid to do so for appearing too "low brow." This opening served little more than to say "Hello...we're BACK!!!!" Nothing earth-shattering in the message; but totally conclusive in the meaning.
