Dirtiest championship corps since 1990

'91 Star. Such an amazing book, but man was it difficult. Pyware couldn't have gotten it clean.

TRUTH!

2001 Cavies were incredibly dirty even at Finals, but the content and demand was off the charts!

2002 Cavies. No way they should have scored as high as they did. Guard alone was incredibly dirty. Hornline marching was all over the place. 2000 Cadets, I think we were relatively dirty in reference to minor mistakes on the field.

2002 Cavaliers is one of the dirtiest things to be in the top 3, let alone win. Goes to show that "ensemble clarity" was what won DCI back then, not actual performance.

'95 Cavies hornline was a little rough around the edges - definitely the color guard, percussion, and visual that won it for them that year.

2011 Cadets....not even close. Blue Devils, Cavaliers, and Crown were all cleaner.

Not sure about that. Certainly not Cadets' cleanest championship, but not the dirtiest thing to take the gold, either.

I'd have to rewatch the bluray to see how it stacks up against the others you mentioned. I actually don't recall any of the top 5 being either offensively dirty or crazy-spit-clean that year.

Maybe I'm not as discerning as everyone on here, but I have a lot of trouble identifying visual "dirt" in almost all of those championship shows. I've always thought the '02 Cavaliers drill was exceptionally well executed.

youre right , I think ( unless dead on obvious ) most will focus in on certain sections or things which then makes it alot easier to see flaws. When you get to the top 5 especially, often there isn't mush difference one to another except maybe programming, pacing, fluke mishaps or things that there was just no time left to change or get to where it needs to be

One can find dirt in every championship show. Some moments here and there which are just a bit off, even some blatant errors, but in all they are overwhelmed by the parts which are brilliantly executed. Same as it ever was. I think some folks might be looking at this as a chance to get some more cheap shots in at shows they either just didn't like or felt should not have won for whatever reason. Understandable. But those championship banners do fly forever.
