also shows ( and there were other years I believe ) the indoor championships wasn't a new thing

American Legion Nats in 1957 were held indoors at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Holy Name won...and the Bon Bons were second by 0.35. It is said that the Bon Bons should have won, but the powers-that-be did not want an all-girl corps winning Nationals. BS was third and Hyde Park 4th.

I think BAC was 4th with a 88.470

57 AM. Legion Twenty eight juniors in prelims and 10 in finals.

1. Holy Name Cadets 91.30

2. Audubon Bon Bons 90.95

3. Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights 89.63

4. Hyde Park Crusaders 88.54

5. St. Vincent's Cadets 87.21

6. West Reading Cadets 86.27

7. St. Kevin's Emerald Knights 86.25

I wonder why more show promoters have not tried or experimented with indoor venue's ...and I don't mean stadiums with a roof either....this could sure open up so many more performance oportunities imo...

What other than a domed stadium would be an indoor venue capable of housing a football field? I suppose some convention centers might be able to pull it off.
