DKG
Can someone explain why certain captions were not scored at the Dixon, IL show? The score sheet did not include some captions.
N.E. Brigand
Probably for the same reason as for last night's Pleasant Hills and Tri Cities shows: cost.
N.E. Brigand
3. 61.70 - Vanguard Cadets (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+5.40 7/1] 4. 61.40 - Blue Devils B (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+7.10 7/1] 5. 60.80 - Genesis (7/5 Michigan City, IN) [+3.10 7/3] 6. 56.15 - Legends (7/5 Michigan City, IN) [+3.55 7/3]8. 55.80 - Golden Empire (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+5.10 6/29] 9. 55.50 - Impulse (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+6.65 6/29] 10. 52.60 - Columbians (7/5 Renton, WA) [+1.30 7/3] 11. 50.35 - Colt Cadets (7/5 Michigan City, IN) [+1.15 7/2]13. 45.50 - City Sound (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+2.95 6/29] 14. 45.15 - Racine Scouts (7/5 Whitewater, WI) [+3.05 7/3]16. 42.10 - Incognito (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+2.20 6/29] 17. 41.30 - Eruption (7/5 Renton, WA) [Exh. 7/3] 18. 40.30 - Blue Devils C (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+4.85 6/22] Updated for the four Sunday shows. We have a tie between the "gold" corps for eighth. Impulse has moved to seventh, and heads all the way out to Boise and Odgen before closing their season with the SoCal Open Class championships this weekend. Speaking of wrapping up their season, two corps are done for year, including Columbians who performed very respectably. Music City debuts tomorrow in Ft. Wayne (as do the Blue Saints)--can they keep pace with 7th Regiment and the rest of the top five? SCVC and BDB have pushed Spartans down to fourth. DrumManTx
I see that Music City has posted video of their opener from this weekend's dress rehearsal. Very impressive! Excited to see how they do, especially after that little scare this fall.
DrumManTx
HUGELY impressed with Genesis on the Fan Network, didn't count, but that looks like a pretty massive corps for open class. I've seen SCVC, BDB, Genesis, some of Music City, 7th Regiment, Spartans, Legends, Gold, ect., this is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Open Class, I'm very excited to see how they do over the season!
flammaster
No pun intended but it's really opening up. You see your group and go "yea they're gonna kill em all" then you see the others and it's a win win. I was really impressed with 7th Regiment and Spartans. I guess the other show is finally up? I'll go watch Genesis. (Remember last year I predicted they would win)? We will see about that. So far I think it could be SCVC again but BDB is so close on their tail it's not even funny. I like Open class because it's a chance for the high school kids to compete a little more.
WWonka
I see that Music City has posted video of their opener from this weekend's dress rehearsal. There should be a law against having 9 snares and 12 contras in OC. Goods size, good sound. I liked the opener a lot. Curious which parts of "The Red Pony" they do. We played it in 88. drumcorpsfever
Looks like there's going to some pretty tight competition for the top of OC this year. Add Music City in the mix as they scored a 60 their first time out of the box. By the time MI City rolls along, there could be 4-5 gunning for OC championship
