flammaster
BDB is scoring real high in brass now! Even higher than their drumline is which has always been their strength. This could be their best hornline yet.
N.E. Brigand
2. 74.200 - Vanguard Cadets (7/28 Dublin, OH) [+0.80 7/26] 5. 70.200 - 7th Regiment (7/26 Paw Paw, MI) [-0.10 7/24] 6. 69.850 - Genesis (7/26 Paw Paw, MI) [+0.35 7/24] 7. 67.500 - Legends (7/26 Paw Paw, MI) [-1.20 7/24] 11. 61.550 - Raiders (7/26 Paw Paw, MI) [-1.35 7/24] 13. 59.350 - Coastal Surge (7/26 Paw Paw, MI) [-0.45 7/24] 17. 55.600 - Stentors (7/26 Paw Paw, MI) [+4.10 7/24] Based on the show I saw, I wonder if Stentors weren't overscored in Erie, without any other O.C. corps for comparison. Meanwhile in Troy, Genesis and Raiders both move up noticeably.
N.E. Brigand
1. 75.950 - Blue Devils B (7/28 Rice Lake, WI) [+0.90 7/27] 3. 74.000 - Spartans (7/28 Rice Lake, WI) [+1.00 7/27] 6. 70.650 - Music City (7/28 Rice Lake, WI) [+2.05 7/25] 10. 62.400 - Gold (7/13 Cerritos, CA) [-0.25 7/12] 11. 61.800 - Colt Cadets (7/27 Greendale, WI) [+11.75 7/13] 17. 56.800 - Racine Scouts (7/28 Rice Lake, WI) [-0.10 7/27] 21. 48.100 - Blue Saints (7/28 Rice Lake, WI) [+0.80 7/27] Is BDB uncatchable? Will Louisiana Stars still be in the top twelve when the season ends? They haven't competed in more than two weeks but have only fallen to ninth. Can Racine Scouts and Blue Saints rebound on Friday? Both dropped today.
DKG
It looks like BDB and SCVC will solidify their positions as Genesis and the Spartans battle it out for the third spot going into finals. Looks like a repeat of last season but exciting nevertheless with Gold, 7th Regiment and Music City still in play. This is truly a very competitive season and one Open Class should be proud of. N.E. Brigand
1. 77.450 - Blue Devils B (7/30 St. Paul, MN) [+1.50 7/28] 3. 73.150 - Spartans (7/30 St. Paul, MN) [-0.85 7/28] 5. 71.750 - Gold (7/30 St. Paul, MN) [+9.35 7/13] 6. 71.250 - Music City (7/30 St. Paul, MN) [+0.60 7/28] 11. 62.350 - Colt Cadets (7/30 St. Paul, MN) [+0.50 7/27] 18. 54.750 - Racine Scouts (7/30 St. Paul, MN) [-2.05 7/28] 22. 47.050 - Blue Saints (7/30 St. Paul, MN) [-1.05 7/28] Just one show left before Monday's prelims. With the addition of the second percussion judge, scores are now in three decimal digits. At their last show, Racine Scouts dropped 2.05. Tonight, they climbed 2.225. N.E. Brigand
2. 74.850 - Vanguard Cadets (7/29 Troy, MI) [+0.650 7/28] 5. 72.300 - Genesis (7/29 Troy, MI) [+2.450 7/26] 7. 71.250 - 7th Regiment (7/29 Troy, MI) [+1.050 7/26] 8. 67.700 - Legends (7/29 Troy, MI) [+0.200 7/26] 11. 63.600 - Raiders (7/29 Troy, MI) [+2.050 7/26] 13. 60.050 - Coastal Surge (7/29 Troy, MI) [+0.700 7/26] 14. 59.200 - Stentors (7/29 Erie, PA) [+3.600 7/26] And that concludes the regular season in Open Class. This therefore should be the lineup for Prelims in Michigan City on Monday: 1. 77.675 - Blue Devils B 2. 77.525 - Vanguard Cadets 3. 74.450 - Genesis 4. 73.475 - 7th Regiment 5. 73.025 - Spartans 6. 72.875 - Gold 7. 71.425 - Music City 8. 70.275 - Legends 9. 65.525 - Raiders 10. 64.275 - Colt Cadets 11. 63.475 - Coastal Surge 12. 59.650 - Stentors 13. 56.975 - Racine Scouts 14. 48.825 - Blue Saints I don't know if the two overseas corps originally announced for championships will be appearing or not. Those are North Eastern Technology from Thailand and Patria from Guatemala.
N.E. Brigand
DCI has posted the World Class Prelims schedule for Thursday in Indianapolis, in which they indicate there will be fifteen Open Class corps appearing. That suggests to me that one of the two international corps will be appearing in Michigan City. My guess is Patria, since they were announced more recently. flammaster
Looks like BDB and SCVC are both ahead of Mandarins which were far ahead of them at the beginning of the season. they sounded pretty bad last night though so maybe it was just the stadium or something. DKG
Can Genesis hold off 7th Regiment, Spartans and Gold for the battle for the bronze? Will SCVC keep BDB from matching a gold medal win with BD in World Class? And will three Open Class corps move into the top 20 of World Class instead of one like last season? This is shaping up to be a pretty interesting finals week for Open Class! Anyone have another angle on this?
N.E. Brigand
DCI has posted the Open Class Prelims schedule for Monday. The fifteenth corps is indeed Patria, who will go on first.
