First regional this week! DCI La Crosse.

what is with the synth pitch bend? sounds like it's not even there anymore. I assume it has something to do with the way it's mic'd?

No sideline flank mics tonight, only a center array (and only that started once the rain stopped). You also hear ensemble and drumline clarity go out of focus when the corps moves far off the center of the field.

Next on the field is the Cadets from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Their 2014 program is entitled "Promise: An American Portrait" and consists of:

Lincoln Portrait by Copland, Aaron

Music for the Theater by Copland, Aaron

Appalachian Spring by Copland, Aaron

Symphony No. 3 by Copland, Aaron

The Promise of Living (from Tender Land) by Copland, Aaron

They seemed a tad off tonite. Still dig Bloo's show

that "tad" off tonite is actually real. The synth isn't mic'd correctly tonight. Horn line was tight, just synth wasn't there to give it the extra 'umph.

We lost a lot of the crowd volume when they switched to the field center mikes, too.

Copland and the Cadets. It's like milk and cookies.
