POSITIVenrgy
Might be an odd word to describe drum corps......but I find Academy's show really "charming"! And super entertaining!
Kamarag
A trumpet took a tumble, and the director cut away so we didn't get to see the recovery. And someone get that tuba player a GPS for the ending drill. But man, what a cool show this is.

Splooie99
The problem I see with academy , is the show seems a little flat. Not enough spunk to get the crowd into it completely. Phantom takes classical to its fullest for example
Tez
Feed sounds great on my end. I am not sure what people are complaining about. Brass and drums are very clear.... levels seem about right, dynamic without too much compression. The single pair of stereo mics placement causes certain balance issues, so it simply sounds like you are listening from just above the pit without being able to turn your head. Of course nothing compares to live sound, but it is about as good as it could get considering what they are using and being an internet live stream.
hughesmr
Those tarps are an accident waiting to happen. I was clenching my teeth when the tenor line was marching backwards over them...
jasgre2000
It's interesting to see the similarities in The Academy's Shostakovich and BD's use of Nino Rota. I never really drew the comparison between Shostakovich and Rota, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Rota took some inspiration from Jazz Suite No. 2 in his compositions.
