TOC Buffalo Wing Championships 2014

Recommended Posts

Sounds like all the corps are having really strong runs tonight! That's awesome (and sad at the same time because I'm not there)!

List of going on first:

Dekalb - BD

Warrensburg - Cavies

Houston - Bluecoats

Nashville - Cavies

Charlotte - Cadets

Rutgers - Carolina Crown

Buffalo - SC Vanguard

Massillon - Phantom

Technically Music City was first at Nashville and Phantom is going on third behind Boston and Crossmen. However, out of the corps that attend all TOC shows, they were the first corps out of that group.

Excellent - Thanks for the update - A buddy of mine just asked me and I told him I did not know - I bet him $10 data would be returned on here ASAP after I asked - Excellent -

Troopers:

Clear playing. Clear visuals. Clear drill writing with loads of effects. Great balance and volume. Clear message.

They definitely belong here at TOC. Crowd loved them.

... woops they're not done...!

Thanks for these updates. Very informative and fair!

Cavaliers:

I'm glad they got rid of those guys I saw last year... and replaced them with...

The Cavaliers!

Great aggressive show with a superstar front ensemble.

Wish the hornline had a little more on the low end. That's it.

Cadets:

They are about to go on... I'll comment after...

But I can see that the stages covers all field view to the front hash for this stadium...

Yikes.

Be back in a bit.

Cadets... continued:

They keep the drill mostly behind the front hash.

That's how they do it...

That's how the Cadets do it.

Okay...

Champion worthy, like Crown... but in it's versatility, the program is abrupt and chunky.

You can tell that it is late in the season... they are clean. And this is a truly difficult horn book with lots of modulation.

Narrator does not get in the way... has a great voice too.

BD:

I said quite a bit earlier from their run through... read that.

This show was a winning design the day that the last drill and notes were put on paper. That, together with the fact that the Devils perform with perfection in every way that matters makes this show hard to beat.

Can it be beat...?

Well, yes, but it would take a lot of subjective judging gymnastics with just the right panel... not too likely.

Crowd collectively dropped their jaws for the Devils... much love in the house.

Encore now with Cavies.
