I still think a traditional style honor guard presentation of the American flag up that stage would be a more profound moment and fit the traditional Americana theme better. Madera Dons Posted August 9, 2014 Share Posted August 9, 2014 Cadets pit is too far forward because of the motorcycle ramp. That's why the pit doesn't balance with anything else the way other corps do. I wish they'd just lay off the xylophone. For my money they could have left the motorcycle ramp out. That way the pit would have been a part of the show and I wouldn't have been distracted by the speaker all the time. I found myself trying not to look at him but rather the corps which is the main part of the show. I also found his stance and gestures distracting. They have the worst questions, make everyone uncomfortable and include so much negativity.
