Yikes! How many people does it take to teach a DC ? That's not a lead in to a joke. That's crazy. I remember BAC in 1982 had 51 members. This is an instructional staff list of 45 people and yeah I realize several are "consultants", but jeez. How much of the corps budget goes to staff?

Nonsense.

If you routinely" take " a few nails or whatever from out of your neighbors garage toolbox, we don't automatically assume that you were " meddling in your neighbors toolbox ". Particularly if we all know the circumstances where your neighbor knows you take the nails or whatever in the toolbox on occasion, have for years, and wiillingly allows you to do so. As it applies to DCI, it is silly to think that I don't know that BD " takes " its talent each and every year in a willing fashion from its competiition ( neighbor ). Its so lame to miscontrue that I have ever said on this thread that BD " steals " talent, or " meddles in another Corps business illegally, or without the other Corps knowledge or whatever, etc. Its just plain ridiculous now.

Once again you are not stating what actually happens correctly, including your analogy. You are still placing the onus on how members move from corps to corps in the wrong place. It is the members who choose to move around if that is what they desire, be it from junior to junior, all-age to junior, all-age to all-age, junior to all-age. The corps is not reacing into another corps toolbox and taking the nails...the nails are leaving their first toolbox willingly, but even that analogy falls apart, as the drum-corps-member-nails do not belong to any single toolbox in perpetuity, while if I purchase a box of nails, they do bleong to me as long as I want them.

Given the totality of your postings over time on the movement of members between corps, NCAA rules, etc..., it is not all that difficult to draw a line from your point A to my point B, at least not IMO.

Why the inaccurate nonsense from you that I have ever stated that Corps success has a one reason ( "age" ) reason for the success ?. I never said this either. Success of Corps is a many and multifacted thing. I pointed out a couple of reasons, clearly visible for all above, beyond " age " on this very thread too.

Then why this constant harrangue about age...this was in your post I replied to...

So the thread is Staff Merrigoround but it has evolved into an inciting, spinning, semantic, angry bunch of BS about who said what, how they said, how they shouldn't have said it, what it was they really said and on and on. So let's get back on track, STAY on track and Brasso, Jeff Ream and Mike D can possibly focus on the thread and not the peeing contest they are engaging in. For the rest of us wanting to know and learn about staff changes...please!!!

Markworth was the Front Ensemble Arranger and Coordinator at Carolina Crown from 2007 – 2014.

Yeah...you are right...it is difficult to not respond when someone is posting such incorrect information, and threads will tend to move around...but in general, yup...you are right.

You've unsuccessfully attempted to substitute your words to my words above, in an equally unsuceesful attempt to mischaracterize my comments above. That epic fail has apparently made you even angrier despite by request to help youself by dialing back the confrontational anger. Today, you provide no specfics at all as to where you believe I have misstated, or have said things that ( in your view ) are simply untrue, and gave us no examples of what I have said on this thread is out of line, or is untrue (in your view) and why. You simply engaged in a generalized dismissal of my observations, and use repeared profanity in your recent blatherings of unspecific, unidentifiable complaints you have. For the record, a simple unbiased read of the dialogue between us on this thread should have one conclude that I have not engaged in confrontational anger with you, nor challenged you to prove anything, nor have unfairly maligned your own observations on this thread, nor attempted to sabotage your comments into something you never said in the first place.

I suggest now that we end this back and forth personal vendetta of yours and that we return the thread to its orginal topic, as this is getting lamer and lamer by the minute from you.

I have never once commented on the PROCESS of the movement from competition Corps's talent to BD. You did. You mentioned its audition process. Its willingness for the competition to feed BD their talent. I never once stated anything at all on this thread about the PROCESS nor even disagreed with you that this is indeed the annual pilgrimmage PROCESS to BD's ranks. On a side note I'm not interested in revisiting other discussion threads on a rehash of ancillary topics that are only tangentially related to the Transfer PROCESS itself..

Besides, for the THIRD time now, I have requested thast we all return to the OP 's thread topic. The thread topic here is NOT a "Words Merrigoround" It is entitled " Staff Merrigoround ".
