Close: according to CorpsReps, it was Concerto for Guitar and Jazz Orchestra by Paul Hart (b. 1945), about whom the internet has surprisingly little to say. He seems to be best known for Cartoon, which BK performed in 2001. I'm quite fond of his "Remembrance", at least as played by Scouts in 1990 and 1998.
