They did sectionals all night, just as the schedule indicated, so I never got to see the whole corps do a run thru. This is my first time seeing any corps live this summer (tho I will be in good Ol JBirney). I stood at field level and watched the brass do a full run thru at the end of rehearsal. I have seen many post about brass holding back earlier, but I believe they may be unleashing them for Atown. Nice volume last night in the very hot and humid air. As mentioned before, I start chase car driver duties tomorrow night and spending two nights at Milton HS shouldn't be too bad. Officiated a few sports at that school over the years. They were 10th in Atlanta, sure they'll be fine. I went through that in 2012 as a big supporter of Blue Stars. Would not wish that on anyone drum corps fan...... That score is also 2 days old. The flaw with your narrative is they were not in a show with "their tier" this week that you are so elegantly pointing out. You can't compare scores between shows that they haven't been in direct competition. When they have been in direct competition with these groups...excluding Madison...at the very important regionals...BAC has been on top....of course that is no guarantee they will stay there...just seems like more drama than is warranted IMO...I am not worried at all about their finish at all.
