GUARDLING
I kinda liked the idea I heard a year or two ago. Crown the A Class champion at prelims, and then take the top 12 corps by score regardless of class as finalists. Heck, take 15. Whatever. With the top ten being the voting members. You still reward Class A corps for a job well done, but you get the top corps in finals regardless of class. This year, with twelve we'd have: Caballeros 96.85 Minnesota Brass 96.40 Buccaneers 95.95 Fusion Core 94.23 Atlanta CV 91.85 Cadets² 91.10 Bushwackers 88.98 White Sabers 88.03 Hurricanes 86.58 Carolina Gold 85.05 Govenaires 84.95 Alliance 84.45 ---------------------------------- Sunrisers 83.50 Sun Devils 82.25 Windsor Regiment 79.08 Skyliners 77.63 Kilties 74.48 Cincinnati Tradition 73.93 Excelsior 71.33 that would also work , kinda like the 12 highest scores regardless? would certainly make prelims more exciting. Some years ya wonder why bother with a prelims.lol well i guess it works even then for placements i suppose Edited August 31, 2014 by GUARDLING

kenweaver
MBI What problems did they have? Pit was way too loud. Brass was way out of tune, but covered by the pit. Not what I expected. donincardona
I Like this. It's like DCI Does with open and World class. DCA did this from the beginning and then sometime , i don't know when , they mad class A. for the smaller corps. but now they are beating the scores of the finalists. i would be in favor of the top 12. and leave it at that.

kevingamin
Hey, at least you were sort of dry. I was soaked to the bone and freezing, all while trying not to get blown off the podium. Yeah, until Jeff Ream pulled me from my seat because I HAD to see Cabs that night!
