Cadets 1998 (well except for the riffle drops)

Of all the Cadets shows, I don't think I've seen that one before. I'll be sure to check it out!

Phantom 2010: Probably some of the most beautiful music ever played on the football field slightly hampered by intonation issues. One of my favorite shows overall though! The resolution in the closer was amazing.

I'd love to see it used again, the source material that is.

That foot timing in the company front. Never seen anything like it.

Lots of rich material to choose from. My top six in no order: 2008 Regiment, 1991 Star of Indiana, 1989 SCV, 1996 Regiment, 1995 Madison Scouts & 2011 Regiment

Honorable Mentions:

1989 SCV (can still get goose bumps watching the closing push)

1990 SCV

1991 Phantom Regiment

1991 Star of Indiana (cross to cross was just, well.. perfect)

1992 Velvet Knights (pure, zany, hilarity)

1993 Phantom Regiment

1995 Bluecoats

1995 Madison Scouts (Live this was pure pandemonium)

1995 Cadets

1996 Phantom Regiment (the chord to end all chords with the building arc set)

1997 Madison Scouts

1999 Madison Scouts

2001 Phantom Regiment

2003 Phantom Regiment

2004 Blue Devils (loved the train leaving the station)

2006 Phantom Regiment (glorious Mahler)

2007 Carolina Crown (Brilliant horse race photo finish)

2007 Phantom Regiment

2008 Phantom Regiment (still get chills listening to or watching the last 2 minutes)

2009 Carolina Crown

2010 Phantom Regiment

2011 Madison Scouts (New York Morning)

2011 Phantom Regiment

2014 Blue Knights (from the last quotes on)

I was never 'against' the Coats show this year...their finals video is in my iPad rotation right now...very cool show. However, in my opinion. it was disjointed...the battery shreds on the front line and stops...then the ballad with no battery for 3+ minutes...just excessive,

I have to disagree with you there...a battery book in the middle of a sublime ballad like that would really detract from it. Pit yes...but not the field drums.

Not the first time it's been done....07 BD comes to mind, and many other corps have done the same thing over the years.

If it's effective, it's effective....I'd rather not hear a snare ramfest during a ballad, thanks, very much.
