afd
Probably late 80's. The last BD show with out a title was 1989. Since 1990 most if not all had a name (title) to their program. You can look at corpsreps.com.
HornTeacher
In my mind, the addition of a mere "Show Title" doth not a theme make. Heck...I could create a show entitled "Confusion," or "Discombobulation", and have it made up of an arrangement of a piece by Hildegard Von Bingen, the "Love Theme from 'Deep Throat', Shostakovich's String Quartet #3, and end with "Imperial March' from "Star Wars." Confusing? Totally. A theme? Rather unlikely... Hey...just had a thought...maybe I should field-test this in WGI.... Lincoln
In my mind, the addition of a mere "Show Title" doth not a theme make. I agree. Some of the titles used in the past have had me wondering what the link was. For example, Phantom's "Defiant Heart." What does that show title have to do with the music played? Lincoln
Really? It's called "A Defiant Heart", and the music is Shostakovich. The theme isn't THAT vague. I totally see your point though. Maybe there's a connection I'm not aware of.
SpenceriEuph
Maybe there's a connection I'm not aware of. Sorry, that was rude of me. I always saw it as a reference to Shostakovich's music and his defiance towards the Stalin.
