N.E. Brigand Posted June 15, 2015 Share Posted June 15, 2015 Their whole low brass sound is synth. That ballad is so disappointing without a good hornline sound. It does seem that tubas at BD get short shrift as compared to some other corps. (It wasn't always so; I remember one passage from 1998 particularly.) But not all corps need the same emphases.
